Bipolar Activity, a cocktail inspired by an artwork form the museum’s permanent collection

This cocktail is at once an adventure and an enigma. It was inspired by Dmitry Kawarga’s sculpture programmed to convert the viewer’s neural oscillations into digital sounds. The drink’s herbal ingredient notably alters one’s taste perception, sending tiny tingles across the tongue – a sensation not unlike that of licking the battery. Interestingly, this unexpected and puzzling effect comes from naturally derived ingredients – quite a talking point.
