Last week Erarta performed an exhibition of Hendrik Kerstens' photography “Paula”. The journalists of “The Saint Petersburg Times” visited the event and shared their opinion with the readers.
“Paula” is a series of portraits of Hendrik Kerstens' muse and daughter. There is a dialogue between the photographer and time. The author refers to the heritage of the Golden Age of Dutch art. The images created by Rembrandt, Vermeer and Hals have reincarnated in a contradictory way.
