The café on floor 3 and most temporary shows in the Exhibitions Wing (with the exception of In the Shadow of Ararat, Maksat Shagyrbay. Steppe, and Searching for the Source of the Nile) will not be accessible to visitors
Dear Friends,
If you are planning to visit Erarta Museum this week, please note the following changes in our opening hours on 29 November. The café on floor 3 and most temporary shows on floors 2–5 of the Exhibitions Wing will not be accessible to visitors throughout the day due to a private event.
The following three large-scale exhibitions will operate for you as usual:
— In the Shadow of Ararat offers an invaluable insight into the developing landscape of contemporary Turkish and Armenian art. Please note: the exhibition space is accessible from the Museum Wing.
— The Steppe exhibition is a chance to see the nature and traditions of Kazakhstan through the lens of the National Geographic photographer Maksat Shagyrbay.
— The Searching for the Source of the Nile project provides an opportunity to see the culture of Ancient Egypt reimagined by contemporary artists.
A little reminder in case you wish to visit other temporary exhibitions: Rust2D’s photographs and Sergey Merenkov’s paintings will be on display at Erarta through 8 December, the works by Leonid Zhukov and Andrea Pinchi will be on view through 15 December, Eduard Mkhoian’s sculptures and Dmitry Ikonnikov’s paintings will be exhibited through 9 February, while Olesya Kot’s and Anastasia Kuznetsova-Ruf’s shows will run through 2 March. With a valid Ticket or Membership, you can come back any time to see them for free.
Please note that the passageways between the Museum Wing and the Exhibitions Wing on floors 3 and 5 will also be closed on Friday: please use the passageway between the Wings on floor 1.
Enhance your experience by visiting an unusual museum space: Erarta RestoBar on floor 4 of the Museum Wing welcomes visitors from 12:00 to 23:00.
