Was born in Odessa (USSR) in 1953 in the family of prominent Russian artist Victor Reichet.
1971—1977 he was a student of professor Victor Oreshnikov at the Russian Academy of Arts (Art institute named after Repine).
From 1976 to 1987 he was a member of 3 arctic expeditions to Franz Joseph Land, North Land and Bennett Island. Starting in 1976 he participated in over 200 exhibitions in Russia, France, the United Kingdom, Germany, Denmark, Sweden, Estonia, the Netherlands, Japan, the United States and Canada.
Member of the Geographic society of Russia since 1984.
Member of the Russian Union of Artists since 1980.
Member of the International Artists Federation since 2002.
Member of the 56th Russian Antarctic Expedition 2010—2011.
14 September 2013, tragically perished in his last expedition to the North Pole, “Yamal-Antarctica-2013”.
