A combination of mainstream, avant-garde, classic jazz, original tunes and free improvisations — all that you could possibly expect and even more at the Jazz Connection Band concert in Erarta on September 6.
Jazz unites people all over the world. Therefore, when it was the to pick the band’s name, the musicians undoubtedly chose Jazz Connection Band. The band consists of young and talented jazz musicians from St. — Petersburg, who not only well-known in their city, successfully tour around Russia, Italy, Germany and other countries.
Stanislav Chigadaev is a virtuoso of classical and jazz piano. Born in a musical family in Budapest, he now studies at the St. Petersburg State Conservatory named after N. Rimsky-Korsakov. Stanislav is a member of prestigious national and international competitions and a winner of the Jazz Competition "The Autumn Marathon". In 2011 and 2013 he took part in the master classes of The New School of Jazz and Contemporary Music in Venice and played at the international festival Veneto Jazz. Eclecticism of thinking, emotionality and freedom of ideas expression are his distinctive features of improvisation.
Dmitry Korotovskih, a saxophonist and a student of the State University of Culture and Arts, has collaborated with many Russian and foreign jazz musicians and was recognized the best musician of April 2014 by The Hat jazz club.
Oleg Fomin is a young and famous bass player, who plays with several local bands. He is a great proficient of classical music and his immaculate musician’s skills attract both his colleagues and music fans.
Artem Teklyuk is a student of the State University of Culture and Arts, but he already works with such renowned jazz bands and musicians as Alexey Cheremizov, Michelle Walker (USA) and Valery Ponomarev (USA).
