Sian Evans (ex-Kosheen) will give a unique unplugged show at Erarta Stage on 30 October.
Throughout the 2000s, a Welsh singer and songwriter Sian Evans was known as a member of Kosheen band, a drum-n-bass/trip-hop collective that, during that decade, placed two albums within the Top Ten of the U.K. album chart. Early into the following decade, as she remained in the group, she made a name for herself as a featured vocalist. While Evans had appeared on recordings prior to Kosheen, higher-profile appearances came with Martin Eyerer's subdued “Your Move” (for which she was credited as Sian Kosheen) and DJ Fresh's anthemic “Louder.” The latter, released in July 2011, quickly topped the U.K. dance, indie, and pop charts. A month later, Roger Shah released Openminded!?, an album featuring Evans on a handful of tracks. In 2014 Sian founded a live band with no electronics — only jazz, soul and rock.
The show at Erarta Stage will become the fulfillment of Sian’s old dream to play the best Kosheen hits unplugged. This time the audience will witness the second birth of the well-known and beloved compositions along with the usual magic of sound, music and unique vocal!
