The musicians from the Mooncake orchestra perform their own version of so called ‘new symphonic music’ combining such different instrument genres as art- and space-rock, neo-classics, avant-garde and romance.

Perfectionism and real hard work have made their sound appreciated not only in Russia (Mooncake is in the top 5 of the best Moscow bands over the last ten years according to TimeOut magazine), but also far beyond its borders (big tours to China and Europe, participation in major European festivals and music conferences). The All-Russian State Television and Radio Broadcasting Company play their music too.

Mooncake’s discography features a few singles, EP and two albums: Lagrange Points (2008) and Zaris (2013). The second one hit the top 3 of the best albums among the iTunes alternative music records. In April and November 2015 the orchestra successfully introduced the unique multimedia show "The Space Odyssey" at the Moscow Planetarium. The tickets for all four show days were sold out, and the audience was more than happy.
