On November 16 Alexei Filimonov (piano) and Yuri Bobylev (guitar) will present their new program "Classics in the rhythm of flamenco, from Bach to Brahms" at Erarta Museum of Contemporary Art.
This concert is an experiment, an attempt to find the common points of the classical piano and flamenco guitar. The concert is based on Johannes Brahms’s music, in particular, his "Hungarian Dances" — one of the most popular and spectacular works, which combines the features of Hungarian Gypsy music and musical traditions of Johann Sebastian Bach.
The improvisational character of this music allows the artists to create it directly on stage, revealing the spirit of duende. Musicians’ professionalism and fine style will satisfy both connoisseurs and first-timers of Andalusian flamenco.
The concert consists of two parts, 45 minutes each.
Free for Erarta Society card holders.
